Are you a member of a book club interested in borrowing sets? Please ask your local library (where sets are transported to) to get set up for lending, if they haven’t already. Once we set a staff member up with an account, they will take care of any requests on behalf of book clubs. Enrolling is easy, and we already have established accounts with most of the libraries across the state.
The BCR program was created to make it easy for staff at public libraries (and other educators) to gather the materials for book clubs.
A set is loaned out to a book club for eight weeks at a time. Book bags contain at least eight copies of the book, plus discussion questions, icebreakers, games, and giveaways. Staff at local libraries are responsible for managing the loan and returning it to the State Library using the statewide CLiC courier service.
There is no cost to use the program. Refer to the links below for more information, or contact bookclub@coloradovirtuallibrary.org with any questions.
We are proud to bring you a wonderful range of titles that would enrich any book club’s reading. We write about some of our favorite sets in the blog posts below!
