A couple of years ago I posted an entry about the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT)’s Statewide Transportation Plan, which was then under development. Now, the plan has been finalized and is available on a new interactive website. Components of the plan, which was developed with citizen input, include maps, infographics, financial data, and informational videos. Those interested in Colorado history will enjoy the video Innovation Through the Ages, a 5-minute history of CDOT, which started as the State Highway Commission in 1910. Check out the video for some great historic images!
The new statewide transportation plan covers planning for the next 10 to 25 years and includes planning resources for roads and highways, aviation, bicycle/pedestrian, and rail. You can view previous plans, and other transportation documents, by searching our library’s online catalog.
