Eat Local. Recipes from Colorado Proud

Making plans for dinner? Farms and ranches in Colorado produce a great many products including potatoes, onions, apples, peaches, grapes and melons, cattle and calves, winter wheat, market sheep and lambs, wool production, and alfalfa. Every month Colorado Proud picks a recipe featuring ingredients grown or raised in Colorado. This month potatoes are in the spotlight with a recipe for “Colorado Street Spuds” created by Chef Jason K. Morse from 5280 Culinary. Other recipes can be found on Colorado Proud’s Recipe site.

As you wander through the grocery keep an eye out for the Colorado Proud logo. The logo tells you that the product was grown or raised right here in Colorado. Unsure whether to thump or smell a melon? Check out their “Tips for picking Colorado produce.”
