Election Day is coming up on Tuesday, November 5. If you’re involved in coordinating or staffing a polling place, the Colorado Secretary of State’s Office offers a series of online courses to help you prepare. Courses include topics such as accessibility for persons with disabilities; the National Voter Registration Act (NVRA); an introduction to basic election terms; and a training course for election watchers. Courses are free but registration is required. To browse a list of courses and to register, see the course catalog.
Additional election information is available on the Secretary of State’s Elections and Voting webpage. This site includes an election calendar, registration information, election security resources, and more. You can also use the site to find your local polling place or ballot drop off site.
Statewide ballot issues are listed in the Ballot Information Booklet, known as the Blue Book. Registered voters should have received one in the mail, but if you want to view a copy online, they are available in English and Spanish on the General Assembly’s website along with associated fiscal impacts. The Blue Books are also available in an audio version from the Colorado Talking Book Library.
