Virtual Trustee Training Available By Request

Is your public library board looking for training on a subject of interest? Does your board need consultation on a specific topic? Does your board have new trustees who would like to learn the basics of library board service?

Colorado public library boards can request free virtual training and consultation through the Colorado State Library (CSL). Training and consultation is just one way to support the ongoing growth and development of both advisory and governing boards, and to help library trustees be better prepared to meet the responsibilities of board service.

Training and consultation is available on a range of topics, including Library Board Essentials, Public Library Standards, and Effective Meeting Practices. Virtual training and consultation can be scheduled to meet the availability of those who are interested, or can take place during a regularly scheduled board meeting. Training and consultation is provided as an informational service of the Colorado State Library, and should not be used a substitute for legal counsel or financial advice.
