The Colorado State Library is partnering with NAMI Colorado to present, Building a Ramp with Communication, on Tuesday March 19, 2024 from 12- 2 PM.
When interacting with the public, librarians often engage with community members with mental health conditions. This workshop is intended to help you better understand the experience of living with a mental illness, learn how to listen and empathize even in difficult situations, practice communicating using skills that have been shown to reduce conflict and find common language, and make sure you are taking care of yourself.
Visit Libraries Learn for more details about the session and to register.
