Lamar Public Library’s Carnival Fun Fair is September 5 at the Cultural Events Center. Doors open at 10:00 for this free event featuring music, games, stories, snacks, and prizes.

Pine River Library is hosting a Garden Party in their Community Garden on September 20. Join them as they celebrate the official reveal of the new Lyons Sandstone pathways, which are both beautiful and accessible for strollers and wheelchairs.

Clearview Library District, in collaboration with the Town of Windsor, is sponsoring the 9th Windsor Grind Skateboard & Scooter Competition on September 13 at Windsor Eastman Skatepark. Compete against other riders in three age brackets to win prizes.

Poudre Libraries is hosting Peas and Thank You: Free Produce and Vegetable Garden Share on September 8 at Harmony Library. Bring your garden’s overflow of vegetables, fruits, and flowers to share with others.

Garfield County Libraries welcomes families to a Grandparents Day Photoshoot, September 7 at the New Castle Branch Library. Kids and their grandparents can capture a cozy memory together during this free event.

Montrose Regional Library District will host Helping Hands Community Gathering on September 5 at 9:00 am. Organizations that help the community are welcome to connect and collaborate with each other.

Clear Creek County Library District is hosting a Club Connection Fair on September 13 at Idaho Springs Public Library. Meet other group members or start a group of your own.

Arapahoe Libraries will host an afternoon with Dion Leonard, bestselling author of Finding Gobi, on September 6 at Smoky Hill Library. Reserve your spot for this opportunity to hear Leonard tell the story of his 155-mile ultramarathon across China’s Gobi Desert and his chance meeting with a stray dog named Gobi.

Jim White, Aquatic Biologist with Colorado Parks and Wildlife, will present the History of the San Juan Cutthroat at Durango Public Library on September 12 at 6:00 pm. White was a part of the team that “rediscovered” what was thought to be the extinct lineage of native cutthroat trout in the San Juan River Basin.

Silverton Public Library welcomes you to a Podcasting Info Session presented by Library Director Misti Anderson on September 12 at 3:00 pm. You’ll learn what it takes to create and grow a podcast—from choosing a topic and recording basics to publishing and reaching your audience.

High Plains Library District welcomes award-winning nature photographer and author Jeremy Janus for his presentation, Colorado People & Places: Colorado through the seasons, a photographic journey through the Rocky Mountains on September 10 at Carbon Valley Regional Library. Janus spent 4 years capturing and curating this assortment of beautiful seasonal photos.

Aurora Public Library is offering a Quick Pickling Workshop led by Rebel Marketplace on September 10 at Hoffman Heights Library. Learn to make a quick brine that will add a zesty crunch to your veggies.

Estes Valley Library is launching a new series, The Artist’s Way: A 12-Week Journey to a More Creative Life, beginning September 9. The group will be facilitated by local practitioner Julie Abel and will incorporate exercises, activities, and prompts to enrich the creative journey.

Longmont Public Library is offering Shakespeare Remix: A Performance-Based Theater Workshop for Teens on September 6 from 12:00 to 4:00 pm. Riggle Me That Production will lead this hands-on exploration of characters, creativity, and communication.

Mesa County Libraries invites their community to Library 101, an introduction to the library’s programs, services, and resources for all ages, on September 11 at the Central Library. Learn about everything from art shows to GED classes to tech help and beyond!
