Thankful Gatherings

Grand County Library District invites their community to Thanksgiving Prep & Gratitude: Pie Circle & Community Recipe Exchange on November 22 at Juniper Library. Join them to sample mini pies, share family recipes, and contribute to a Juniper Library Community Cookbook.
Englewood Public Library is hosting a Friendsgiving and Book Tasting for teens on November 21. Come break bread with friends, and try out some new books while you’re there.
Jefferson County Public Library welcomes violinist Marcella Stone-Fox for Thankful for Music: A Friendsgiving Violin Performance on November 15 at Golden Library. Treat yourself to some Friendsgiving-themed refreshments while you relax and enjoy the music.
On November 20 from 6:30 to 8:00 pm, Montrose Regional Library is hosting its final Silent Reading Club of the season (Facebook event link). Join the library at The Association in Montrose and enjoy a chill evening of reading, community and craft beverages.
Putting it into Practice

Aurora Public Library will host Colorado State University Master Gardeners for Intro to Xeriscaping – Water Wise Gardening on November 20 at Central Library. Participants will learn principles and steps for creating a xeric landscape for saving water and money.
Bud Werner Memorial Library invites you to Weather Forecasting 101 with Mike Weissbluth of SnowAlarm.com on November 18 at 6:30 pm. Learn how Mike uses his website to create his forecast, including analysis of observations, satellite and radar images, and weather models.
Summit County Library is holding an Introduction to Needle Felting on November 18 at the South Branch Library. Learn to turn raw wool roving into adorable felted animals using the materials provided.
Sharing & Listening
Alamosa Public Library is holding a Digitization Open House, part of their Shared Memories Project, on November 15 from 10:30 am to 2:00 pm. Using their new digitization lab, courtesy of the Pueblo City-County Library District and the Mellon Foundation, patrons can explore tools to preserve a variety of media types and formats.
Boulder Public Library invites kids and tweens to a KPop Demon Hunters Karaoke Party on November 15 at Gunbarrel Library. Take the mic as one of the movie characters or just enjoy the vibe with crafts and snacks.
Join Garfield County Libraries for Stories & Voices: Honoring Local Veterans on November 22 at Silt Branch Library. Hear firsthand accounts from those who have served, learn about the challenges and triumphs of military life, and connect with the voices that help shape our community.
