Summit County Libraries invites adults and teens to Terrible Painting Night on April 24, 4:00 to 6:00 pm, at the Main Library. Come experience the joy of bad painting in the spirit of fun and camaraderie.

Estes Valley Library is celebrating Maker March with a variety of crafting events, including Scrape Art Painting on March 18. Using scrapers and acrylic paint you’ll create two unique works of art that you can bring home.

Longmont Public Library’s annual Peeps Diorama Contest is in full swing. Between now and April 10, drop off your book-themed diorama to be entered into the prize drawing on April 18. All dioramas will be on public display from April 11 to 18.

Fun for Teens

High Plains Library District invites teens to LINC on March 19 to answer the important question: Will It Pancake? Teens will mix, pour, and flip their way to pancake perfection by creating unique and imaginative pancake designs.

Bemis Public Library’s Teen Takeover event on March 19 is Build-a-Box-Fort. Teens will work as a team to design, build, and decorate an enormous cardboard structure.

Poudre Libraries is celebrating their Teen Corner Grand Opening with an open house on March 18 at Old Town Library. Come see the new space while you enjoy food, music, games, and crafts.

Douglas County Libraries is offering Spring Gardening with a CSU Master Gardener from April 12 – May 10 at various branch locations. The series will cover topics such as seed starting, choosing native plants, and attracting pollinators.

Eagle Valley Library District will host Denyse Shreneker from CSU’s Extension Office for the series Gardening at Altitude at Gypsum Public Library. The topic for March 31 is Peaks and Petals, while the April workshop will explore Vegetables at Altitude.

Englewood Public Library is throwing a Chick Hatching Birthday Party on March 20 at 2:00 pm. Children are invited to celebrate the arrival of the chicks that they have observed growing at earlier candleing events.
