Summer Art Exploration

Lone Cone Library is offering several colorful events as part of their Color Our World summer reading program, including 3D Modeling with Pinhead Institute Maker Studio every Tuesday in June and July, and a Saturday Showcase Art Gallery featuring local artists from all skills and age levels from June 14 through July 19. 

If you have a special trip coming up, then check out Louisville Public Library’s The Art of Travel Photography on June 7. Award winning photographer Steve Sorensen will lead this interactive session addressing the best lighting, locations, and equipment to achieve quality vacation photos.

Grand County Library District welcomes floral designer Sonya Wyatt for Living Color: Creating Everyday Floral Arrangements on June 23 at Kremmling Library. This hands-on workshop will teach you to create beautiful, everyday arrangements using fresh flowers.

Englewood Public Library welcomes submissions now through June 30 for their Library Card Art Design Contest. Create and submit an original work of art based on the theme Colorful Englewood. Winning designs will be chosen in three age categories.

Estes Valley Library invites you to step into a world of magic by creating a Wizarding Alley Book Nook. During this six-week series beginning June 12, participants will craft their very own miniature diorama using the Makerspace’s tools and materials.

Trinidad Public Library is featuring artist Brittany Cook in its June Art Wall exhibit. Cook is showing ten whimsical found-object works—kitchen pots and pans painted with images of some of Trinidad’s prominent buildings in the style of the Bob’s Burgers television series.

Learning Hats On

Get your tent ready for a Camp Out at Basalt Regional Library on June 20. You’ll learn tips for setting up the perfect campsite and cooking easy camping meals, and enjoy exciting games and activities. Plus there’s a pancake breakfast on Saturday morning.

Pinkies up! High Plains Library District welcomes you to A Year with Jane: Etiquette in Jane’s Time on June 8 at LINC. Learn about the subtleties of Regency Era social interactions, and decorate a fan to use as an accessory.

Poudre Libraries is celebrating World Ocean Day 2025 with Planet Ocean on June 8 at Old Town Library. This all-ages event will include fun crafts, science experiments, and sensory experiences all featuring amazing sea creatures.

Summit County Library welcomes stargazers to Lunar Library Nite in Frisco on June 12 and July 10 at the County Commons Front Lawn. Enjoy hot cocoa and s’mores while you explore the night sky with local astronomer Astro Mark.

Aurora Public Library invites you to their Mission Viejo 50th Anniversary Celebration on June 7 from 2:00 to 5:00 pm. Enjoy a Balloon Performance by Kidz Balloonz followed by cupcakes, crafts, and more.

Delta County Libraries is holding a Ribbon Cutting for Seth Weber Art Exhibit at Delta Library on June 13 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Seth Weber’s Faro Project Series brings public awareness to child welfare through his sculptures and artwork.

Pikes Peak Library District will host the 2025 Pikes Peak Regional History Film Festival on June 7 at East Library. The event will include film screenings from local film makers and high school History Day documentary competition winners.
