Bring your extra cuttings, plant babies, and plant propagations to Grand County Library District’s Plant Swap on August 17 at Granby Library. Drop in between 1:00 and 3:00 pm for this self-serve event.

Durango Public Library welcomes Brooke Safford of Blooming Landscape Design for Birdscapes: How to Attract Birds to Your Yard, a presentation on August 21 at 4:30 pm. Learn the importance of birds to the ecosystem and how to attract more of them to your yard.

The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo Mobile will be at Buena Vista Public Library on August 16 at 10:00 am. Stop by for a meet-and-greet with the animals, and hear stories from friendly zookeepers.

Community Adventures

Lake County Public Library invites you to join the Colorado Mountain History Collection for a Cemetery Program on August 24 at 11:00 am. Go on a one hour walking tour of the Evergreen Cemetery and learn about its history.

Pine River Library will host a Hawaiian Hula Demo with Ka Pa Hula on August 22 at 6:00 pm. The local Durango group will provide a demonstration and discuss the history and cultural significance of Hawaiian hula.

Join Poudre Libraries for a Walking Tour of the Women’s Suffrage Movement in Fort Collins, August 17 from 9:00 to 11:00 am. The City of Fort Collins Historic Preservation Services team will lead the tour and explore some of the places where Fort Collins women organized for the right to vote.

Pitkin County Library’s Adult Summer Reading Closing Party is August 16 at 5:00 pm. Bring your favorite book to discuss while you enjoy food, refreshments, and a raffle.

Fort Morgan Public Library is hosting a Teen Night Out Scrapbooking event on August 16. Bring your friends and photos, and create a unique scrapbook page using library supplies.

Mark your calendars for Aurora Mini-Con 2024, September 21 at the Aurora Municipal Campus. The event is a collaboration among Aurora Public Library, Aurora History Museum, and the city’s Parks, Recreation and Open Space Department, and features all your favorite pop culture activities in a free, family friendly setting.

Longmont Public Library will be at Sandstone Ranch on August 17 to Celebrate Grandparents’ Day. Join Ms. Lili for this bilingual family program full of singing, dancing, and crafts.
