Join Grand County Library District for an afternoon of fungi fun at the Mycology Hangout, March 15, 1:00 pm at Juniper Library. Their partners Mush Love in the Mountains and Healing Earth Future Farms will serve up some tasty mushroom dishes and provide helpful tips on mushroom cultivation.

Montrose Regional Library District welcomes guest teacher and puppeteer Nina Carbutt for a six-session Puppet Institute beginning March 21 from 4:15 to 5:45 pm. Participants will create their own puppet, culminating in Puppet Palooza, a performance on May 10. Registration is limited to 10 participants.

The Fort Morgan Museum will host an Irish ‘Ceilidh’ to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day on March 16 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. This traditional social event will feature lessons on Irish culture and history, Irish food, Irish music, and Irish dancing.

Poudre Libraries invites you to Fort Collins Community Scrabble, your opportunity to play casually or tournament style. Bring a board if you have one to the event on March 16, 9:00 to 11:00 am at Old Town Library.

Totally Teens

Spanish Peaks Library District hosts a free Teen Pizza Night every Wednesday from 4:00 to 6:00 pm. There’s no catch! Just stop by for pizza and see what the library has to offer.

Nederland Community Library invites contestants to their Teen Trivia Night, March 21 at 4:15 pm. Test your knowledge of various topics for a chance to win a prize.

Aurora Public Library is seeking teen contestants for their Iron Chef: Ramen challenge, March 21 at Martin Luther King Jr Library. Test your culinary prowess by creating new concoctions with these budget-friendly noodles.

Lyons Regional Library invites teens and tweens to their St. PIEtrick’s Party on March 16 at 6:00 pm. This fusion of Pi(e) Day and St. Patrick’s Day will include games, activities, and of course pie (both the pizza and dessert varieties).

Louisville Public Library invites families to Solar Spectacular: Learn about the Next Solar Eclipse on March 21 at 4:00 pm. With the next eclipse just around the corner on April 8, learn about why they happen and how to view them safely.

Basalt Regional Library will host Mountainfilm on Tour, March 22 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. They will present the curated “Medley” playlist – a collection of stories that span the gamut from adventure to activism, to passion and the pursuit of a dream.

Delta County Libraries invites you to Create a Reading Journal on March 20 at Cedaredge Library. While you’re creating your journal, hang out and swap book ideas and goals with other readers.

Garfield County Libraries will host local historian Steve Rippy for his presentation, Preserving Our Heritage: New Castle the First 30 years, on March 16, 1:00 pm, at the Rifle Branch Library. Discover the people, events, and growth that shaped New Castle from 1883 to 1913 through engaging stories and historic images.
