Health and Aging

Learn the basics of memory loss, dementia, and Alzheimer’s disease. Kelly Osthoff from the Alzheimer’s Association Colorado Chapter will be at HPLD’s Riverside Library and Cultural Center on March 1 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm.

Adults and seniors in the Roaring Fork Valley are invited to attend Aging Well – Nutrition and Health Seminar for Seniors, February 14 from 9:00 to 11:00 am at Basalt Regional Library. The event will include presentations by Eagle County Senior Services, Aging Well Initiative, City Market, Whole Foods, and Basalt Regional Library.

Early Learning at the Library

Louisville Public Library’s Little Coders series is for kids ages 3-5. The next meeting on Binary is February 13 at 10:30 am; registration is required.

Camp Happiness at West Custer County Library is a monthly program for kids age 0-6. Caregivers can choose to attend or take a “me time” break in the library. The next Camp Day is February 16 from 1:00 to 2:30 pm.

Pick ‘n’ Mix

Jefferson County Public Library’s Great Decisions is a 9-part series of in-depth discussions on the most important foreign policy topics of 2018. The first discussion was held on February 7 at Evergreen Library. See the schedule of future event locations.

The Melodic Miners will perform a concert of a cappella music at Colorado School of Mines’ Arthur Lakes Library on February 9 at 12:00 pm. Enjoy an afternoon of beautiful harmonies from this all-women’s vocal group.

Take control of your budget with some couponing tips from the pros. Erin Lamberte will teach Extreme Couponing Workshop, February 10 from 2:00 to 3:00 pm at Bemis Library. Registration is required.

Write On!

Are you interested in publishing your own book? Poudre River Public Library District has two upcoming opportunities to learn about ebook-publishing platforms. Creating an eBook: Intro to Pressbooks is February 9 and Self-Publishing for Writers: Intro to SELF-e is February 16. Both classes will be held at Harmony Library.

Longmont Public Library invites you to meet dozens of published Colorado authors at their 6th Annual Authors We Love Open House, February 10 from 1:00 to 3:30 pm. See a list of authors scheduled to attend.
