In Person Fall Workshops

There are two sets of FREE in person workshops this November, and you can register for either or both on one form!

To register for one of the Fall Youth Services Workshops, the Solar Eclipse Workshop, or both, please complete this form:

Colorado State Library staff members are providing the Fall Youth Services Workshops (rather a misnomer, as there will be great content for Adult Services staff too!), which will provide information about and ideas for the 2023 summer program for all ages, social emotional learning, seeking and using feedback from your community, lots of networking opportunities and idea exchange, and much more! Even if your library does not plan to use the 2023 summer theme of All Together Now, the workshop content will be relevant for everyone. All 4 sessions will provide the same content (there will also be virtual sessions that cover some of this content later this winter), and will be 10:30-4:00:

  • Nov 7, Erie Community Library
  • Nov 10, Rawlings Library in Pueblo
  • Nov 15, Delta Public Library
  • Nov 18, Pine River Library in Bayfield

STAR Net is providing the Solar Eclipse Workshop on Nov 30, 10:30-4:30, at the Mesa County Central Library in Grand Junction. This session will prepare and empower staff to facilitate meaningful solar and space science programs for their patrons that build curiosity, knowledge, and inspiration. Attendees will receive hands-on training on solar telescopes, low-cost methods of solar viewing, and interactive solar and space science programming designed for the library setting. Due to the hands-on nature of this session, it will be limited to the first 35 registrants, so register soon. If the registration exceeds 35, we will keep a waiting list.
Please note: If you attended the CALCON Deep Dive session with STAR Net staff entitled Eclipse 2023/2024: DO Look Up!, this session in Grand Junction will be very similar.

All sessions are FREE, with lunch provided! Transportation costs are on your own.

Once you register, you should receive a copy of your registration form via email (check your spam/junk mail folders for this confirmation).
