Would you like to receive free registration for the virtual CLEL (Colorado Libraries for Early Literacy) Conference (https://www.clel.org/conference), to be held October 6-8, 2021, while giving back by providing a valuable service for CLEL members across the country? Then we have two opportunities for you!
The Colorado State Library and CLiC (Colorado Library Consortium) are each providing free conference registration for a total of 16 conference participants. Recipients will be required to volunteer by writing a post for the CLEL blog about their experience at the conference; the post may be about a particular session, keynote, theme, or the overall conference experience. Blog posts will be due by November 1, 2021.
CLEL is providing an additional opportunity to volunteer for free conference attendance by editing the captions and creating transcripts for two hours of recorded conference sessions using YouTube studio. This volunteer effort will take approx. 4 hours following the conference. There are 12 opportunities available through this volunteer experience.
Complete the application for both opportunities online: https://survey.alchemer.com/s3/6449762/2021-CLEL-Conference-Volunteer-Application
The application deadline is August 13, 2021.
Both opportunities will provide free attendance to all 3 days of the event, which include a Preconference on Oct 6; Leadership Institute on Oct 7; and the Main Conference on Oct 8. All will provide a robust learning and networking experience for library staff that work with kids birth-6 and their families at this unique event!
Library staff, volunteers, and students are all eligible for these opportunities. Recipients must work, volunteer, or attend school in Colorado.
Applicants will be notified by email by August 24 about the status of their application.
