A sneaky eBook tip:
I started checking out ebooks from my library. I wanted to see Overdrive and Freading and how the normal patron experience would be using a Nook. I might have gotten a little carried away when I realized I had 3 books to read and 2 to listen to in the next 2-3 weeks.
I am a fast reader and the books I checked out were all light fiction, but I didn’t figure I would have the time for them all. You know what I found out? You can keep the books as long as you want! Turn off the wireless. If the eReader is offline, the books don't expire.
According to my account they expired, according to the library account I checked them in, but they're still on my eReader.
Obviously, I'll have to turn my wireless on at some point, but if you're reading a book, or helping a patron who really needs a bit longer of a check out time, think about turning the wireless off to keep reading it.

The same goes for your iPod!
The same goes for your iPod! If you load audiobooks on an iPod, they will stay on your device until you sync it next. This is unless you have an iPod touch, then just turn off your wireless. -Kristin @ Lamar PL
